GUIDE ON HOW TO UNLOCK YOUR T-MOBILE PHONE
If you are a prepaid t-mobile customer and you want to unlock your phone, then you must meet t-mobile requirements for them to be able to send you the unlock code. You need to have at least 60 days of active service with t-mobile and at least $10 refill made within the last 30 days. If you meet these 2 requirements, then all you need to do is call t-mobile customer service and request for the unlock code to be sent to you. Be ready with your email address since the unlock code will be sent via email and a callback number for them to call you if something goes wrong with your request. If the unlock code is on t-mobile database, they will send it to you within 24 hours to your email. Just make sure to check your spam folders or make sure to accept emails from email@example.com. If they don’t have your unlock code, it will take up to 14 days for them to send you the code since they will have to get it from the manufacturer.
If you don’t have an account with t-mobile or if you haven’t reach the 60 days of active service yet with t-mobile and you really want to unlock your t-mobile phone, then all you need to do is fax the copy of your receipt when you purchase the phone at full retail price from an authorized t-mobile dealer. You will need to call t-mobile customer service (1-877-778-2106) first so that they can submit a request for the unlock code of your t-mobile phone. Be prepared with your email address, callback number, your name and the IMEI of the t-mobile phone you want to unlock. They will give you a ref number that you’ll need to write on the fax cover sheet and other information that you’ll need to type or write in there. After faxing the receipt, just wait for them to email your unlock code. They’ll also email the steps on how to use the unlock code to unlock your phone. It’s actually simple to unlock it just follow the steps on the email.
If you don’t have the receipt anymore then last option for you is to visit websites that offer to unlock your phone but be prepared to pay for more or less $10 for the unlock code.
